Wilf Gerofsky was part of more Hamilton weddings than anyone in the city.

For almost half a century, the wedding dresses he sold from his Leeds Bridal Shop at the corner of King and Catharine streets were the centrepieces of "special days" for generations of women. For 35 years the bridal shows he staged, first in the basement of his store and later at the Hamilton Convention Centre, gave those same women a chance to learn everything they needed to know about planning their day.

Gerofsky died Jan. 3 at his Ancaster home two months short of his 83rd birthday.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Gerofsky's business career started in 1950 when he and his brother, Richard, took over their parents' ladies' hat shop -- Mayfair Millinery -- on James Street. He was then only 23.

The Gerofsky brothers inherited a women's hat shop just as beehive hairdos cut the heart out of that business. They quickly expanded into other kinds of women's clothing and opened several more stores. By the late 1950s, however, they were focused on the downtown location and by the late 1960s they had specialized in bridal wear which, until then, had been a small part of the business, sold from the basement.

What a great giveaway! I mean, you can always use more beautiful things.

I would go for two bras - Balconette the Pearl and the soiré Demi Cup Bra. The Pearl was a wonderful wedding / honeymoon piece, and it looks really comfortable. The soiré would be great for general use and still looks great.

I admit, I tend to go for quite functional bras, but they're all just so cute!

I love this stuff! I have a few Cosabella underwear is so comfortable yet sexy.A lingerie registry is a great idea, especially for someone like me is a size 12-14 - so friends can buy lingerie for a shower and not gambling on my size. I just set up a registry, but it is not allowing me to add items to my list so that is certainly a mistake.

One of my ideas for a new range of lingerie to wear every night of our honeymoon in Quebec City, a sort of "surprise" for my fund. The set I absolutely love Cosabella I love are:
